PLACE IT RIGHT

Conventional & Guided Implant Surgery – Theory, Hands-On & Live Surgery

Essentials of Implant Surgery for Young Clinicians

Place It Right! is a one-day course designed to help dentists master precise, prosthetically driven implant positioning. Through theory, hands-on training and live surgery, participants will learn to assess bone and soft tissue conditions, select appropriate implants and drilling protocols, and perform both conventional and fully guided implant placement safely and predictably

Every successful implant treatment begins long before the first incision, with clear and thorough planning, which ultimately leads to placing the implant in the ideal position. Careful assessment, sound decision-making and precise surgical execution are what make the result predictable, and mastering these fundamentals builds confidence in implant surgery. This one-day course brings together all the essential knowledge needed to place a dental implant safely and predictably, using both conventional and guided protocols.

Starting from the clinical and radiological assessment of the patient, participants will learn how to evaluate the available bone volume and density on CBCT, without overlooking the soft tissues, and how to identify the anatomical and medical risk factors that may influence the outcome. The theoretical module places particular emphasis on correct three-dimensional implant positioning, guided by the planned prosthetic restoration. Drilling protocols adapted to bone quality and quantity are discussed, together with implant selection, flap design, suturing techniques and healing options. The digital workflow is then introduced: combining CBCT data with intraoral scanning, virtual planning, surgical guide design and the fully guided protocol.

The theory is put into practice in a hands-on workshop where participants place implants using both conventional and guided techniques. The day concludes with a live surgery demonstrating guided implant placement, from planning to final insertion.
